Los Angeles Tint Group Buy?
Hey guys (and gals),
As some of us here in LA and the surrounding areas are getting more and more of our cars with each passing day, I'm wondering if we might try to get a deal at a reputable tint place to get a discounted rate for a bunch of us to go and get our 1's tinted. You think a shop would do this? Give like 5 or 6 a discounted rate? I figured it's worth a shot and open to suggestions of places to perhaps call and discuss this with. I've never had a car tinted here in LA, but I've heard good things about Startronics in Santa Monica as a good place to get ceramic tint and good service. I also found a $20 off coupon online, too. So any southern california people who are considering getting a good tint job, maybe we can all discuss trying to group up, get some amazing tints in the coming weeks, and saving some money on top of it. Might make that $3.99 premium gas not hurt so much these days. I'm open to thoughts, suggestions, etc. |

$3.99 for 91 octane would be a good deal. Cheapest I've seen in my city is $4.06.
As far as tint, yes, I've seen it done before. You could arrange with a tint shop but not every tint shop would do this.. obviously. A lot of the smaller tint shops negociate on their pricing so I don't see why a GB wouldn't work. You might have a better chance at getting a legit GB going if you weren't only targetting people here at 1addicts. I would be interested but I don't have my car yet, it should be here by the end of the month.

Alright, well keep me updated. Mine will be here by the end of the week and not sure how long I'll wait. Perhaps I'll just be the guinea pig then and try that place and a nice, expensive huperoptic ceramic tint, however it's spelled.

Glad to hear they did a good job Infinite. Me and Rektek are getting ours done there on Saturday most likely. Can't wait to hear about your experience and see pics, too. So, if you could let us know what kind of tint you got, whether you sprung for the huperoptic one, and what percentage you got, that'd be great. First thing I'm doing when I get mine on Friday or Saturday is taking it there to get tinted.

Mind you, that's as light as the tint's ever gonna look since i opened the sunroof and left it rooftop in the sun all day to dry it per guy's instructions...it only gets darker from there..ill post pics later today of what it looks like normally...

I don't know much about tint, except that in Socal it's nice to have. My Audi was tinted a little darker than i wanted, so when it came time to choose tint for the 135 I went lighter. So I thought. I had 3M at 35% done this morning and it seems the same as the Audi. A little bit too dark.
Kid2, your's looks great. I'll post pics once I clean it up a bit. |
