I'm not going to lower the car a lot. It'll be a subtle drop... I don't want to have to deal with bottoming out and scraping my bumper etc.

Thanks mate. Let me know what settings you go with and how the car feels. I changed the fronts to 4 from full stiff and the rears are left at 7 from full stiff as set by the workshop.

Generally, softer = more grip but less sharp turn-in and stability

Me / achtunge30 tried to do this today...
we got the car on jackstands and started with the front passanger side. Got the bolts off and were trying to compress the springs to raise the shock but the set of spring compressors i had wouldnt' allow me clearance to use a wrench to compress. The spring compressor's bolts were too long If i held the spring compresors upside down the bolts would touch the roof of the inner fender. If they spring compressors were rightside up the bolts were too high for me to reach..... I'm probably just going to get it installed.

damn, that sux. we did a friends e90 a while back and it was a b!tch. just havent had the time to do mine, since my friend who has the tools went out of town, then work its a pain
