1M Sales Activity

A BSM 1M with 2,900 miles just sold on C&B for $86,500.

A Valencia Orange 1M was just listed with 10k miles.

Did you watch the auction close? It was quite entertaining. There was also a white 44k mile on BaT that went for $51.5k the day before, seemed like a really good deal.

Battle of the Rick's lol. I actually thought it would go for more. That was super low mileage. The guy who won I believe also recently won a C&B auction for a super rare and really sweet '95 Hellrot M540i.

I bought the VO one on BAT the day after Christmas, just got the car delivered this week.
Tires are 8 years old other than that the car is solid and so much character.

Thank you!!!

You guys already know this, but compared to the GT3 this car is more useable (kids in back seat and less harsh suspension) and with the low end torque you can kick the back end at low speed. The car is fun at normal pace while the GT3 needs to be driven hard and revved past 5k.

I'm an AW owner, but VO is my dream. 26k miles is sweet. That BAT walk-around video is ASMR for 1M owners, and the EAG video is BMW porn. Congrats on the purchase. I'm ashamed to admit I paid $65k for an AW with 59k miles. But it was a stripper spec and they are so hard to find. I could not resist.

As long as you enjoy it now, it does not matter what you paid for it if you are going to keep it for a while. Not going to lie I was also second guessing myself when I won the auction, you have to add fees and shipping in that case.

Stripper is best, I actually do like the power seats I thought that would be an issue based on a lot of people's comments but even at 6.2 I am good. Would I prefer not to have the nav on the dash absolutely, but like you said there are super rare and I wanted a VO.

Yeah if I found a VO stripper spec I'd definitely think about pulling the trigger.

But not if I find the right Z8 first

4,700 mile Alpine White 1M on BAT:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2011-bmw-1m-192/

Believe it or not it was listed a week ago on eBay for $85,950, then removed. It appears to be owned by a collector car dealer: https://thecollectorsok.com/vdp/2333...Tulsa-OK-74145

Elsewhere...

A beautiful Black Sapphire with 3K miles (WBSUR9C50BVT47619) was sold for $81.5k on BAT in 2023, then again on C&B for $86.5k in 2025, then recently auctioned on autowheeler.com as a repossession. Since autowheeler does not save their auctions, I don't know how much it went for.

I hate to see these low mileage ones getting bounced around.

4,700 mile Alpine White 1M sold on BAT for $88k. It was not a stripper - had all the options.

Matt Moreman (Obsessed Garage) bought the AW no-nav that was has been floating around for awhile and was sold by Autobarn Stables. 27k miles, had one of the quarter panels repainted for some unknown reason. $68,500.

That's about what I paid for my AW stripper, except with 50k miles. I'd been looking for one for a while at the time.

It’s worth a little bit extra to snag a stripper. I paid low 50’s for my AW no-nav a little over a year ago. 64k miles with 75% of all of the main N54 failure points addressed in the last 10k miles. Still stoked on it!

I ran into Moreman at Bimmer Invasion West Palm a few weeks ago, he was checking out my e46, I didn't know he'd picked up a 1M.
I'd have loved to have a non-nav 1M but when I stumbled upon my 23k mile BSM example, I jumped at the opportunity. It's not nearly as bad as the double hump e9x. Worst part is the loss of the center cupholder, I'm not a fan of the additional one, it lives in the glove box most of the time. I deleted the armrest so I have access to the mini one in the center.

I have a double hump M3 and think it looks a lot cleaner. The e82 screen looks like it’s just kinda plopped down on the middle of the dash. No-nav was a non-negotiable for the 1M, but any 1M is a 1M after all.

My e92 is a single hump and I wouldn't want it any other way. My e90 is a double and it's not so bad, I put a super low bid on it and happened to win it, it is at least at slick top, which is rare for the sedans. That's more of my personal non-negotiable. I also have a single hump 135i, that I thought about swapping its dash into the 1M, but then it wouldn't match the build sheet. Plus I can think of a whole lot of other things I'd rather do than pull the dash out of a car.

Yes, lots of GT owners have kept the 1M and sold the GT3/GT4 for the reasons you listed...1M is very usable, cool, not too low, attracts the right attention, etc.

The nav is great, has all my music from USB with graphics, kids like this, I have a lot of old music loaded in the car, even has XM radio, does not feel dated on music devices screen. I like it, always have.

The stars aligned to put two VO 1Ms on C&B and BAT at the same time. Fun to watch. Both sold just north of $60k.

C&B

BAT

Didn’t he give one away when they first came out?
