E88 Exhaust Rattle
I installed a berk street axel back on the car last night. Everything was fine last night when I drove it around but this morning there is a pronounced rattle. I'm assuming it is the x brace on the bottom. Does anyone have a fix for this?
Thanks in advance! Last edited by drewh130; 05-02-2014 at 07:39 AM.. |

I do have the same problem! Was going go ask question over here! I have a e88 and install a autowerk exhaust. I drove an entire day without any problem! And yesterday, I had a rattle under the car.. Don't know where it comes from...
At first I though it was due to bad installation, but I look under the car and everything seems fine... So i need help too!

It's the brace, I guarantee it.
You can space it down, i'm going to wrap some manifold wrap around the offending part of the bar as well.

I figured as much. Has anyone had any experience with successfully spacing the brace down? do you need to space it at every bolt or just the drivers side?

Verts have this issue. get a hose clamp and tie the exhaust pipe to the brace its touching. That is how we fixed my friends

So what's the best? Spacing it? Or fix the exhaust with the brace?

Had the same problem with my e82 after autowerkes exhaust install. Put some intercooler piping between the x brace and the exhaust....works well
