From what we can see from the pic, they look legit. You might check the original build to see if it came with xenons. What's he replacing them with?
Good luck getting them out! Does he know the entire bumper has to come off, and then the headlight mounting bracket? I'm quite familiar with it as right now my bumper is off, repairing a deer hit from last week! |

Yup, I've looked into the procedure and it seems like a pain in the a** to deal with. Yikes, I hope you're doing alright! Last edited by redefine.m3; 11-02-2020 at 10:41 PM.. |

Here's my pair of 128i's after completing reassembly. You can see the only difference between early and LCI headlights seems to be the "eyebrow". I think I'd be tempted to do that with decals before I'd pull the headlights out! |

Year One of the One is my wife's '08 Sport auto. With arthritis in her left knee, her days of a stick-shift daily-driver are over. Mine is the Year Last of the One 2013 M-sport 6-speed. We've had twins before. Back around 1981 just after we got married I drove a Chamonix (white) '72 2002tii and she drove a '73 Chamonix 2002 stick (her first car). We still own those, too, but both are in need of restoration at this point.

Update, the headlight deal went through. Found out that my headlights were Valeo, so were the other party. Turns out Valeo is the supplier for OE BMW E82 LCI headlights so there's no difference. They're looking pretty solid, currently have halogen bulbs in, still waiting for my LUX H8 189s to arrive.

He also tried to upsell me on a lot of other parts he had in his garage, I didn't buy in on any of it though. Stoptech BBK, no name differential support brace, aftermarket paddle shifters, coils. |
