Replacement DCT pans
Anyone use one? Doing a filter replacement/fluid replacement at 90K and considering one of the aluminum ones for extra cooling (I track the car) and wanted to ask if anyone here had one and what they thought. Really just trying to decide if the price difference between a cast one and a machined one was worth it (appearance not relevant). The two at the top of my list are:
https://www.vividracing.com/wortec-a...151448751.html and https://slon-workshop.com/2018/07/19...w-dct-oil-pan/ Because they are the only two which do not appear to require you to cut a hole in the belly pan. TIA!

Went in on the group buy for the Slon...when you realize that replacing the DCT is an 8-10K proposition, having more cooling and less chance of starvation for $850 seems OK...at least that is how I am justifying it to my self. If you are simply replacing fluid you are likely replacing your pan/gasket and that pan is $200 and provides nothing additional. The thing I like about this one is that it has some extra capacity but not enough to need the belly pan to have an opening cut in in like the Gintani or BMS, it is billet aluminum (vice cast) and will provide more cooling, and it has an extension so that the suction can reach the new bottom of the pan.
If you are close to changing your fluid/pan...consider filling out the group buy... https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1425010

Still time to get one! (need a couple more to get to 10 as it appears some may have backed out of the original 11).

AndyW When you installed your Slon DCT pan, did you wait 24 hrs to let the loctite gasket set and then fill the pan with fluid? Or did you put the loctite on, bolt up the pan, fill with fluid, and then wait 24 hrs for the loctite to set?

I let the gasket set for 24 hours before adding fluid.

Any issues with the pan? Like any leaks or changes with the way it drives or is everything like stick?

No leaks. No issues. Just works. Works well on track also. No shifting issues others have experienced. Suction is lower in the pan and there is about a quart of additional fluid with this pan. I am a fan.
