Charge Pipe

Hey,

I noticed that my charge pipe is very flimsy and i can squeeze it easily, but on my cousins 335i (same year, kms, model, Same color LOL) it is firm and won't squeeze when i try. Does this mean it has a leak and needs replacing? If so, what would you recommend? My car is bone stock, the only mods i plan to do is jb4 and Dci's in mid august.

Thank you
Teddy

Was the car/engine warm or cold?

As for the charge pipe, you can buy an aftermarket charge pipe which keeps the OEM DVs if you don't wanna invest too much $. (ER, BMS, CP-E, etc.)

Dv? Which pipe would you recommend? I don't want to do any meth or have a bov.

VRSF w/ no meth bungs, Fatory C-Clip, and with Diverter Valve outlets. Cheap, and will perform as well as any other.

I bought the BMS charge pipe (this one: http://www.burgertuning.com/chargepipe_N54_BMW.html), because I bought their JB4, BMS dual cone intakes, and many other stuffs from them (spacers, jack pads, etc.), always been satisfied with their products, so decided to buy their charge pipe.

So your pipe is very flimsy and can squeeze easily but your cousin's pipe is hard and firm?

Ladies must love your cousin...

The VRSF pipe does not seem to have the outlets for the OEM DV‘s? The BMS CP appears to? Does that mean the VRSF CP cannot be used in an OEM setup? Like OP I will not be adding Meth or BOV‘s...

ER,VRSF and BMS are really good options for aftermarket Chargepipes
BMS is out of stock
VRSF price/quality is awesome but won't work with OEM DV

Diverter valves. Aftermarket DV's most people get Forge. I think they're like $300+. The other setup type uses a BoV (blow off valve; whoosh sound)

This is no longer accurate, we now offer a CP with the OEM DV option. It can be selected using the drop down option on our website
