Map reading lights
I just got my car back from the panel shop after some repairs. When I got it back, I noticed that the lens for the map lights seem to be missing. ...then I started to have doubts they were ever there... Would someone mind taking a look to check if their 1 series coupe has a lens cover over the map lights?
Thanks. |

Thanks - I tried that. I wasn't sure if there was a difference with overseas models etc. On mine, I note that the lens is missing from both the front and back reading lights - makes me think they'd have needed to make a special effort to loose them all!
Hence my request for someone local to checks theirs. Thanks. |

They are clipped in with very small clips.. easy to break / knock out. If they were servicing your roof lining / roof area then it's likely they've knocked them out.

The plot thickens...
Saw the guy at the panel shop again the other day. He showed me another 1 series coupe without the lens over the map lights (before they'd done any work to the car). The car he'd originally shown me was a 1 series hatch, so believes that something must have changed between the two models. The images on the web seem to show some with and some without. So, ...I guess that means they were never there? ...unless someone can tell me otherwise? |
