opened engine oil cap & smell like gas?

As i was coming back home from work i pulled into my driveway and opened my engine oil cap and smelled like fuel . is this a sign of fuel injectors leaking ?

This is typically either piston or valve seal blowby. common on turbo cars as they age. This can also happen if you have a injector that leaks after car shuts down.

So other then being injectors leak are the others normal?

Well to much of this is not normal. To much gas in the oil can reduce the oils effective viscosity. I would do a compression check. If it looks good then your probably alright, mmay want to use 1 level heavier weight oil.

I was going to do oil change today 0w30 Castro ledge so now your telling me to put 0w40?

Change your engine oil. The best oil is fresh oil. Go with a short OCI and use quality LL1 approved oil like Castrol Edge.

It's almost winter so there is no point in running a 40 weight oil. Just change your oil and report back.

I had a leaky injector and now I have to rebuild my motor, send a sample to Blackstone!

the leaking injector made you rebuild your motor?

i just got a new oil change about a week ago is to early to take a sample and send it to black stone?

My leaky injector diluted the oil causing a rod bearing to wear out. I'm guessing it's the rod bearing but will know more once I tear into it.

Just watch your oil level carefully

today after a drive oil temp. at 240 i opened my engine oil cap and it smelled like gas again. but the smell went away
