Akrapovic on a 135i?

I want to put an Akrapovoic slip on or evolution system (pending how I decide I want to budget out mods). The Akrapovic systems are only made for the 1M. Now since the 1M uses the N54 I'm assuming the Akrapovic systems can be adapted to the 135i.

The exhaust systems are dual and the stock 135 bumper only allows for a single exhaust pipe. So my solution would be to get the Kerscher M1 front and rear bumpers to put on my 135.

So my question is, would the M1 rear bumper have the same exhaust fitment on a 135 as it does on the M1, in other words, would the Akrapovic M1 exhust fit on an M1 conversion bumper? Is the set up from engine to exhaust the same on the 135 as it is on the M1?

I'm pretty sure this question has been asked before, only about the stock 1M exhaust, and the answer was no. If you look at the 1M underbody (sorry for crappy picture):



and then look at the 135:



That stuff I circled in red gets in the way. The piping for the 1M exhaust is the exact same as the 135i up til that very last axleback portion (and even most of the axleback is the same), but the undercarriage was modified slightly to make room for the quad exhaust. Don't know what it is or what it does (maybe it's the battery well in the trunk?), but I don't think you can just remove it.

Other quad exhausts for the 135i seem to avoid it by going around, and keeping the muffler just on one side, rather than spread out like on the 1M:




If you look at the akrapovic.. there's no way it's gonna fit:

you just shattered a couple dreams of mine for this car haha, but thank you for the detailed reply, really appreciate it. i wonder why they made the bottoms of the M1 differenty from the 135.

If you have the $$ nothing is impossible. You can go order the 1M battery cover and other things that you need at the bottom to make it fit.

I don't really understand why someone would spend 4k on an exhaust system. The only benefit that you are going to get is sound and very little hp gain. Take your 4k and spend it wisely.

I have the parts on order and will be making the mod at the end of the month.

The parts only totaled to around $200USD. If you want it on a 135i rear end, you will need to make a custom rear diffuser or mate a 1m bumper to a 135i one.

It will work, there is no reason it wont. I will be doing the swap over shortly also, on a customers car.

The issue isn't the diffuser. And a 1M diffuser is not a direct fit to a 135i bumper.

Oh I know the undercarriage is different as well, needing parts swapped and modified, but I was speaking directly of the issue of a custom diffuser on top of all that.

How indirect a fit? Anyone know?

If you dont mind an indirect fit, I would look into a quad diffuser for a 135i. There are a ton of aftermarket brands. The problem is that I do not necessarily know (since I have not looked into it myself) how crucial the diffuser is for the battery compartment, hangars, and heat shielding.

Think I'm gonna run it by my local tuning shop. Quad is next on my list, and I'm not sure why, but I fancy using the OEM 1M quad rather than a fabricated bit.
