Berk race vs Berk street review

I've had the Berk race w Berk mids and ar catless dp on my car for a while and swapped it to the street version recently. Highway noise is reduced significantly but I notice a substantial difference in turbo response and power with the street version.

Looking for a way to mod the race version to have a muffler.

The race clearly has more flow and less back pressure and is much better imo.

Just a heads up for those thinking about either version

I'm betting it's more of a placebo effect, I can't see how just that muffler in the axleback would affect flow.

Ehh not sure...its substantial even the tech who did it said the same thing as soon as he pulled it off the lift

If you modified a race version to have a muffler.....you'd have the street version. A straight-through muffler is not going to make a difference in "turbo response"

The design is different. The race has tips that start about half way through the axle back portion while the street only has tips that start after the muffler...so there is more flow w the race

realize that only a dyno will clear this up...but the difference is noticeable...and its not just me that noticed it.

And how...the designs are completely different...one is 3"-dual 2.5" and the other is 3" to 2.5" tips only. I'm no rocket scientist but...

You think the position of the Y pipe being a foot further downstream is going to make any difference? What if it was just a single 3" all the way to the bumper? The only reason it goes to a Y anyways is because people want two tips.

i feel like the car stuffed its face with burgers and doughnuts and is now rocking a beer gut with the street version...but its just me i guess.

unfortunately i ran over the grand canyon of pot holes sunday night so i cant test it further, cars out of commission for a while

The muffler on the street version is your restriction, period...

I dont think any power to be had with the axle back but perhaps better response. Kind of like an intake. I like giving a turbo engine every thing i can to breathe | respond better.

You could just go back to the stock axle back with catless DP!

Im all for the race but if its too loud then......

to be honest it doesnt bother me...only time it gets excessive is long trips 2+ hrs

All the things I've tried and heard, and I always end up with the stock one on there. It's just too all-around good.

Oh I definitely understand the bug.. That's why i'm always switching out exhaust parts as well
