135i vs 135is
Today, I decided to run my VIN to see if I had any open recalls(only the driver's airbag; who needs that anyway?)
Upon decoding my VIN, I'm seeing that I have a 135is rather than 135i - which I'm in disbelief of. I've tried multiple sources and continue to see 135is. Does anyone know of a truly accurate VIN decoder? My car doesn't seem to have PPK or PE, so I'm a bit confused what to think. I suppose I could call the dealership, but I often have the misfortune of being helped by the local idiot. If anyone feels so compelled: WBAUC73578VF22809 ![]()

The 135is was only made in the 2013 model year IIRC, so you definitely don't have one

There was some mention in all the 1M development videos that the original goal of the 135i was for a more hardcore car, hence the 'is' internal designation. Also consider that classic BMW nomenclature for coupes was 'is'. This disappeared after the E36, maybe it was supposed to return
