Who was wondering where the piece they found in their oil pan, came from?

I can't find the thread anymore?!?

The piece is from inside the oil filter cap.

When the cap separates from the cage, the spring and cap will come out.

Pics are from an oil change I did recently (with a collapsed oil filter).

With this part missing, you will get vanos codes.
