Audio frustrations from wanting to replace the amp Part 2

After trying to figure out the best way to increase the audio output, and beginning installation, I've hit a snag. I believe using a signal converter (axdspx-bmw25) along with an Alpine pdx amp I had, would be the best course to take, as I'd already replaced the speakers with Morels.

First step would be accessing the OEM amp. A number of people here said it is located in the driver side rear wheel well, in the trunk. Nope. Tried the other side. Nope. Google said to look next to the passenger side rear speaker. Nope. After taking apart half the panels in the car I found it in the trunk...mostly. 2/3 of it in trunk, the other 1/3 under the passenger side rear seat. To access it, you must remove the rear seat. Doing that has proven difficult. Anyone done that? A couple people here said to use a pick to get at clips inside the holes the head rests sit in (after removing the bench part of the seat and the head rest). Using a flash light I dont see any clips, and sweeping blindly with a long pick finds nothing to grab onto.

2012 135i convert with the Logic7 audio system.

Any thoughts?

Not it!

I believe the box on the passenger side, under the rear seat is a "com" box. Whatever that is. That means the Logic7 amp is next to the rear speaker, drivers side. There's no place else for it to be. They say it's always in the last place you look, and as there's no where else to look, guess I found it.
