Manual Swap 128i Questions

I have 2008 128i convertible automatic that I am going to convert to manual

I know there’s a bunch of Other posts about the process But I’m wondering whether I should wait and try to find a 128i donor car or just Get a cheap 328 off of auction because they’re so much cheaper and more common

I found a manual 128 just a few hours away But it has 170,000 miles and the guy definitely drifted it. But the plus is it has an lsd in it but he has it up for 2500 and I’m thinking just put my auto in it and sell it after.

What are the things that are different in a 328 that I would need to Find parts for and also , what should I do to refresh the transmission while it’s out to make everything feel nice and tight If I end up going with the high mileage one that has probably been drifted on

I wanted it to feel super nice and tight like the car is new because my 128 only has 60,000 miles on it

Any help/opinion is appreciated
