Thanks! You know, this is my 3rd bmw (2 three's prior) & I have never even came close to following break in procedure. I suscribe to the theory of driving it harder to get a little more out of the engine & so far so good

Sweet! I was on Columbia Highway, too. I should expect mine arriving in Chicago area pretty soon then (unless they had to make repairs)...?

Congrats db, wish you as much luck as I've had- mine is about to turn 6 with not one hiccup. Were you able to swing a great deal? Any mods planned? SSK I'm still going back and forth on that.

I beat myself up for a pretty good price

I plan on doing a ssk, probably a UUC piece though... I plan on upgrading the suspension & get some some lighter rims. Other than that not sure...

Let me know what tires you get- hopefully the Pzeros. Let me know what you think of the ride quality. Have you sampled the ssk from BMW? Happen to know what the ZSP wheels weigh? BTW- Contiextreme DW will save you anywhere from 5 to 8 lbs. per corner depending and what you're rolling- Contis are non-RFTs ofcourse.

I got the pirrellis, I have used the ssk from bmw & ucc both, UUC wins hands down, especially with one of their RK's shift knobs. Don't think I will get nonRFT's, I have 2 children, being able to keep moving is important, plus I actually don't have any personal issue with the. Also Bridgstone has new tire coming out which supposedly addresses most RFT concerns... we'll see. I believe the rim weight is in the 27lb range... but not sure... but that is where I will lose it from. I'll turn those into snow wheels.

you know it's funny, I see these cars everyday & there is black one that looks just like mine in front of my desk, but it's different when it is your car, it always seems to look a little sharper
