Open Allocations
Hello Everyone,
I thought it may be helpful to create a central list of known open allocations for those enthusiasts who have yet to secure their spot. Here is my additition: As of today, there is an August allocation at Perillo BMW in Chicago. I would suggest working with Peter Mers (847-863-5231) who (due to my constant badgering) is very knowladgeable about the 1M and the allocation process. I'm paying MSRP and am pretty sure they're asking the same for this allocation. |

Did you call Peter at the cell number I gave or the general number? If the former, then I'm sorry, it must have sold in the 20 minutes between my post and my discussion with Peter. If the latter, you may have gotten a sales rep who is not aware of this allocation. They originally had only four, and now have a fifth. So, the person you talked to might have old info.

BMW of Dallas has an orange I think. Got this from Darrel.
Chris, I wanted to let you know that we have a 1 Series M sitting on our showroom floor to see. Please let me know if you'd like to stop by and see it. Darrell Taylor Senior Client Advisor I told him I'd be by Friday morning. |

Based on this article I'm just curious if any dealers are getting any new allocations.
http://www.bmwblog.com/2011/03/04/bm...gan-this-week/ "The demand for the car has exceeded BMW’s expectations and in the U.S., several customers will have to wait until the end of the year to receive their 1M. Even though initial allocation numbers for the U.S. will be around 600 units, BMW of North America said the allocation will be recalculated every month based on different factors. In other words, the U.S. market might see an increased number of 1M units." |

Sigh!! I don't know how many times it has been said but the 1M's listed on cars.com and autotrader.com are sold. It is a technical issue with the dealerships and autolistings. BMW of Dallas has one sitting on the floor "TO SEE" not to buy!

When I checked a few weeks ago... BMW of Beaumont TX had a December allocation that was unsold. I spoke with Willie Calcoate 409-718-1833
BMW of Permian Basin also had an unsold allocation for late fall, but they were declining to even take a deposit because the allocation is so far out ( a friend of mine who lives in the area indicated that the likelihood is that they are wanting to add markup). My contact there was Chris Anderson IIRC. Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 06-08-2011 at 04:47 PM.. |

Well, it seems beautmont was hoping for an allocation but just told me that they have not received one yet. Charlottesville does have one for november with a few people in line but noone has yet has put down a deposit (I offered immediately and am waiting to hear back). Left a message inquiring at the manhattan dealership but haven't heard anything but did find it fishy no options were listed on their website.

http://www.worldcarfans.com/11105253...a-one-year-run "Report says that production of the 1-Series M Coupe will end in December Even with ever more performance division products being produced, BMW still wants to keep the M-brand special. But the news that the 1-Series M Coupe will be limited to a one-year production run is still surprising, given the volume appeal of the M division's cheapest model yet. According to a report by TheDetroitBureau.com, BMW's U.S. M brand manager, Matt Russell, says the 1-Series M "will be a one-year car," and production is slated to end this December. Perhaps this is BMW trying to maintain the exclusivity of the M badge. Or maybe the 1-Series M wasn't as profitable as they had hoped it would be."
