Welcome to the forum. Nice 1M!
I can't comment on the AK exhaust, but regarding optimal shifting... It's entirely how you want to drive. If you're driving in city traffic, the car has so much torque that you can short shift at 1.5-2k all day long and the car won't struggle. You'll also save gas. If you're driving the car hard, again it makes power all the way to redline. I find shifting below 4.5-5k and you'll be out of the sweet spot, since the car seems to really like revving at 4.5-5k+ (I haven't taken the car at the track or even driven the car with summer tires yet, so it's based on my limited spirited driving) |

Welcome! Nice mod.
(I do like the one w/ black grilles and shadowline a lil' more except for the lip.) Check this out (fye) Metak's:Official BMW 1M Registry Mine: BMW 1M Survey |

Welcome !
Your 1M has the Chrome Line. Seems that you like the black/orange contrast (roof, mirror covers, wheels). Did you consider the Hochglanz Shadow Line option (gloss black instead of chrome surrounding the windows) when you ordered your 1M ? Can you show us a picture of the ///M sticker on your rear side window (passenger side) ? |

I truely like that contrast style^^ and the mirror covers are carbon fiber from Performance. The sticker of ///M is just a logo from BMW M CLUB CHINA. |

Akrapovic exhaust
Nice VO 1M.
Akrapovic is one of the nicest exhaust you can get for the 1M or any other car for that matter. The sound is geat and fitment is perfect. For performance driving you will likely to take the rpm to near redline before you shift, that way after engaging second gear the engine is back into its sweet spot for you to accelerate again. |
