Strange startup behaviour
Today when I went to start my car, something very strange occurred. I have comfort access, I was able to get in to my car ok, I sat down started her up fine, then for some strange reason, both my windows went down and my sun roof opened up. Then the display stated something about not seeing the key so the engine stated it would not start (though it was already running) I closed both the windows and sun roof and they both re opened automatically.
![]() Now, I was parked in an underground garage, but it had been raining this morning, and I would have been some peeved if it decided to do this trick in the pouring rain! I placed my key fob in the slot, and was able to close the windows and they remained closed and everything else seems fine. Any idea what might have prompted this odd behavior? |

Pretty sure the fob batteries are ok, replaced them this past March.
Just picked up a ODB/USB cable, was going to try setting up the software this weekend. Is there something like a "system log" that might shed some light on it, or are only full errors recorded? I really would not want this happening in the dead of winter with snow on the roof suddenly down your neck and back. Yikes! Last edited by rkives; 05-23-2014 at 10:17 PM.. Reason: spelling |

The key was in my jacket pocket, could have been pressed up against the parking brake or the tray...
So if you hold the unlock button on you FOB it opens everything up? Is that true for the button on the Dashboard as well? |
