What\'s your apex wheel set up?
Seems there are some options. Here is what I have:
Satin black 18x9.5 ET 22 front 18x10.5 ET 27 rear No spacer 265 front tires 285 rear hankook rs3. Rub outside tire to front inner fender liner at lock just barely. Pics here with 3mm spacer since removed. Will update soon. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=603611 Stick out just a little too proud of fenders even without spacers at front worrying me a bit. May switch to ET 35 with a 3-5mm spacer for front J |

Mounted Franklin's 18x 10 setup (ET 22) with 275/35 continental challenge tires on all four corners. They fit on my stock car with no spacers and no rubbing! I was able to test them on the track at Texas world speedway. Woohoo!

And it has done nothing but snow here! Been 12 hours of white so far. Just waiting for the plows to bury me in.

i went with the double adjustable setup, its perfect.
I looked at the KWs, the ASTs, and all the others but for me and the price point this is perfect. The ride is very compliant and stock like until you get on the throttle and throw the car into the turns. I had the BMW Performance suspension on my last 135i and that was just stiffer than stock all the time.. But also, when I had it installed the car was corner balanced so I think that helps alot too. Ok... I finally got a chance to hit the track with my 18x 10s.. since I have photos of two other colors mounted on the car... let's go for color option #3, which I went with... the hyper black .. the barrel of the wheel is black... and the color of the wheels is a dark silver.. slightly darker than the OEM ... and they seem to hide brake dust well .. if anything.. they look more like anthracite when they are covered in brake dust! LOL.
The tires do stick out in the front.. but I love the square setup for rotating... The Conti takeoffs I got have good grip thus far and were a good value. Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 01-19-2012 at 04:06 AM.. |
