I've had the stage 1 for the past year and just recently had the stage 2 installed. I dont have anything else to compare it to, except a jb4 on my previous 135i. However, car runs very strong and seems even smoother with the update. Only wish we had better gas locally...

Thomas, what "intakes" are upgraded ones. As a fore mentioned I am looking at the enclosed AFE one. Just want to make sure you call that a upgrade VS the open air ones.
Thanks |

Most of the DCI's have yielded similar results in our testing. You will be more than fine with the AFE intake.

Thomas, have you noticed any restrictions with upgrade CAI instead of DCIs especially on the higher end with the boost that you are running?

The main restriction that our dyno testing showed was through the stock intake. I was surprised because I expected a slight ram air effect at speeds, but even with our fans set to 70+ the discrepancies between stock and modified only grew.

I've covered this in a few threads, but my short answer would be that we don't currently have plans to work with E85. We are much more comfortable offering water-methanol injection with our Race file.

I wish someone would look into the different downpipe thing a little more.. I wonder if this played into the decision to make the 1m a 1 year wonder while the other n54 equipped 35is are still being built. The DP might be the emissions reason everyone was talking about.

In our logs, the ETS FMIC has shown considerable drops in IAT's (some of the best we've seen). I have seen the WGDC rise somewhat higher, likely a factor of the intercooler's volume. The ETS is certainly one of the better offerings for this platform.
