Hey Jorge I'm Chris! Depending on what you're looking to have done and where you are in nova depends on what I'd recommend. There's a bunch of places people meet up with the dc metro bmw facebook club. there's a few of us 135's that hang out with them. Where in nova are you?

Hey Chris; I am in the Fairfax area. Thanks for your quick reply. I'll check out that facebook club. I am in the process of retiring out of the military toward the end of this year so I will have some time to play!

Welcome to 1addicts, Jorge! I've only seen a small handful of 1ers around the Fairfax area, none of which I would imagine to be on here.
If you ever see a black on red with a CF trunk lip and dirty stock rims, that's me! Still debating whether or not to pull the trigger on some black VMR V710's though.

Awesome. I used to live out in fairfax and still frequent the area on the weekends. I have a white 135 with cf spoiler, here soon to have a cf hood, some gunmetal wheels and lowered a bit You'll def know its me if you see a small collection of race track stickers on the back window haha.

I'm in Arlington/Ballston. SGM over beige vert. Pretty much stock (unless you consider the 1addicts sticker on the window to be a mod ).

Great! Thanks for the love fellows. Please feel free to invite me to any track events or shows that you plan on attending and I will make them a priority. I love the 1/4 drag racing sport and I know our car's are more suited for road racing but I plan at some point to test mine out prior to any other mods at a dragstrip.
I have used a Dynolicious app on the iphone and have consistently run about 13.0 1/4 mile at about 116 mph. I'm sure the app is fairly accurate but I plan on doing the real thing prior to bumping up to S3. Again, shoot me invites to any events within reasonable distance and I WILL GO!! Thanks again, BE SAFE! |

I am seriously wanting to track mine, if any of you have plans to this summer, please shoot me an email. Would love to test my car out in both the 1/4 mile and some kind of autocross track.

AutoX is ok...I don't do drag...but I do frequent real race tracks for HPDE's quite often if you're interested in those

Cool man. What is HPDE? I would'nt mind tagging along that is until I get bit by the track bug and jump in. Again, I would appreciate the invite whenever you attend. Just need about a good week's notice so I can take a day off. Thanks.

HPDE are High Performance Driving Events/School....Basically you go to a real race track and for the day/weekend you get an instructor in the car with you at all times really teaching you the finer points of driving your car at the limits in a safe controled environment. Eventually you get to the point where you can go solo and have fun. There's no timing, just driving and learning. I highly recommend them as you'll learn more about your car at these events that you'll ever learn auto x'ing or dragging the car. You get 20-30 minutes of non stop high speed driving 3-5 times a day.
It's quite addicting. I have a few vids of my sessions
