Why on earth would you miss that piss hole? I was born there; moved to the US when I was seven. I don't mind going there as a tourist, but damn, I'll never give up the life here in the US.

It is much nicer to live rich in Hong Kong than in US, but live sucks if you are poor over there.

ohh cuz i moved to US when i was 1 and a half. I miss it because most of my family lives there. Also, mostly for tourist reasons. Food, clothes, particular girls, and did i mention food?

True. My family had money, i.e. drove MB, Lexus, etc., lived in 1,500 sq ft+ condos, had memberships to the HK Jockey Club and whatever else they have there now.

Even though there are too many people, the weather sucks most of the year, and too many mainland Chinese are crossing the border (I know, I know), I have to say that HK's food is incomparable. Every time I go and visit, I always aim for Oct-Feb (hotpot aka da bin lo!)

Another prime example: Macau hasn't been the same since the 80's. Land mass' increased, mainstream casinos are moving in, and the most of the history has faded away.

1,500 sq ft+ condo ain't big in US but consider very upscale/luxary condo in Hong Kong. Of course, the supper rich lives in 3000+ sq ft penthouse and or 6000+ sq ft house with private drive way.

Just one look into a thread like this reminds me of why I never wants to go back to HK!

15 replies and you guys are up to your HKJC membership, you apartment sizes, your

Merc and Lexus. Then the other person jumps in to tell u 1500sf is not that big. Then

one more person jumps in and start showing us how the super rich lives! Oh! And of

course the degrade of Mainland Chinaman!

Us HongKongnese are unique!

I just stumbled across this....post and its funny as. No matter how rich you are you still breath the same shity air. My house is there, my investments are there but somehow I just cant make it past 8 months there without losing muscle mass, getting sick, skin tone turning from a healthy glow to yellow...
