Looks like a great setup Drawn!
Does anyone know if the M3 diff cover with it's cooling fins will fit on our 135 diffs? I've got the quaife LSD internals but would like the extra cooling.

I am going to wait until it arrives and Peter can check it out before I make any further purchases. I think the brakes might be an issue as if I was to have the subframe bolted up as is, the stock 135i brakes might not fit.
If so I would have to source some M3 calipers and rotors (front and rear) which would cost about $1000. Not to mention that I want to get a Meth kit and tank in before summer!!! |

Justin Wade from Midas at Tingalpa here in Brisbane recently fitted all the M3 running gear / front & rear subframes / drivetrain to his E90 320i sedan. He may be able to give some advice if Peter can't help. Justin's gone to a race spec brake setup though.

Well, I have a bit of time before it arrives to suss things out - the ship its on has an eta in Sydney of 11/11/12.
Looking at the M3 brakes, I just cant see how they are superior to the 135i ones. I would have assumed that the bigger pads and 6 pistons of the 135i calipers would disperse heat over a greater area than the comparatively tiny M3 pads. Not sure if M3 calipers would require minimum of 19" rims as well. |

Don't M3s come standard with 18s with 19s an option? I'm pretty sure most 18s fit.

The ship the subframe is on is just entering the suez canal and is on schedule to arrive in Sydney on the 11th November. Cant wait to get this on my car!!
Got the front M3 bits and pieces from Stu@BMR for a good price. Peter has assure me that he can replace the wheel carrier of the M3 for the stock 135i one and keep my stock calipers, which is good for the wallet. Shame we cant also 'bolt-on' the exhaust note of the M3, my restriction free exhaust makes my car sound more like a speeder-bike from Return of the Jedi than a performance car. |

This is a great mod, think I'll go down this route when something pops up online although I already have a Wavetrac which I'm very happy with. It should make a huge difference. I wonder how the m3 diff works with the DSC/DTC though.
