2012 135i iPhone 5 and Bluetooth
Hello. We have a 2012 135i and we connect our iPhone 5 to the car. With the new apple maps we use navigation sometimes. However the navigation voice does not come through the speakers. A 2012 M3 owner told us that it work with his car.
Does this work or not supported yet? Thanks. |

i have a non-idrive but its works on my 4s with the ios6. im using the usb cable from bmw to make it work. when the apple maps is on the voice will come true the speakers with the ipod music playing, the music will stop as the directions are given and then the music will resume. works great. if you are using the apple usb connector you might also need to use the headphone connector from the phone to the aux plug next to the usb port on the car. then the voice should come thru the speakers. see if that works for you

If I remember correctly the 1 series stereos do not support blue streaming audio. It only supports voice audio (phone calls). So as others mentioned, you'll have to use the USB, and select USB as the sound source on the radio.
