I've been tossing the idea around of putting in some cf racing seats and maybe selling my manual sports seats...the have 13k mi and are in excellent shape. Get complaints on them over the leather a lot due to the fact the wear better. Only thing you dot get is sweet smell of cow-skin

As a feeler - I'm in the CA bay area, and have taupe leatherette manual non-sport heated seats. I'm thinking about buying/trading for OEM manual sport seats. Doesn't matter too much to me whether they're leather or leatherette, and I'd consider different colors. I'd like to keep heated functionality if possible.

When I swapped my non-sport automatic seats (without heat) for 1M seats, I eagerly weighed them, thinking I would save a bunch of weight. Well I did save weight: 1 pound per seat! I guess motors are pretty light nowadays.

I can't answer your question, but I might be interested in your seats if you sell them.... though I really should hold out for sports seats....

Bump! Still browsing various sources for these.
I'd absolutely be willing to part with my stock non-sport seats if/when I manage to get a set of sport seats. Slightly OT - anybody know of any decent, not-too-racy aftermarket seats that fit this car? |

Indeed. I've seen that they're essentially Recaro Sportster CS's, which are cheaper, and that's an option, but those are a little too aftermarket for me. Also they're expensive . Thanks for the input.
Still on the lookout for OEM sport seats! |

I'm in the same boat. I love my 135i but the only thing that is killing me is missing the sport seats.
I've looked into aftermarket solutions but the only one I really seem to like are the Recaro Sportsters as stated above except they are way out of my price range. Ill follow this thread in hopes someone has some lying around taupe leatherette manual sport seats. Not trying to thread crap, hopefully you have another interior color. :] |

Honestly, the only likely supplier would be somebody who owns a car and either totals it ( ) or swaps out the seats. I've looked into 'new' sport seats, and they must be purchased part-by-part and as such are such prohibitively expensive. I have various wanted ads out, and am browsing car-part.com and eBay regularly.
