E89 cluster
Hi,
Has anyone checken, if a Z4 E89 Cluster fits into a E8x 1 Series? Maybe the whole cluster or just the e89 Board with1 Series housing? Thx Last edited by maninblack; 07-17-2013 at 03:23 PM.. |

AnooooOH installed the M3 cluster on his 135i so apparently it is possible to code big-screen-type clusters (the M3 cluster like the E89 cluster have big screen and they are more complex than 1-Series clusters). So.. Will it work? Yes, after coding.
The second question is.. Will it fit? I don't know. Probably it will be necessary to adapt the dash hole or the cluster mountings. AnooooOH's e81 with M3 cluster: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...light=M3+gauge Sorry for my english |

Yeah I have a M3 cluster as well. Never thought about the Z4. The cluster is very easy to remove. So check it out and see what the fit is.

I work at a dealership and we had a E89 on the lot with a dead cluster, so I swapped it into my E82 for shits and giggles and it justtttt about doesn't fit. If I had a dremel tool on hand I'm 90% sure I could make it fit, but couldn't anyway because the cluster has to be returned to BMW.
