There is a nasty ding to the chassi or strut or whatever it is just below the windscreen on the drivers side, the back wheel is folded under, the drivers door is out of whack, there has to be much more then meets the eye, but no air bags??? That colour paint would cost a fair amount as well, but it is tempting

They're in excellent condition, essentially brand new. No cracks, scuffs, etc, they weren't on the car long enough. Shipping to Perth I think would be about $60-$70. Cheers Ian |

My insurance company "repaired" one of my cars. Still has a bent chassis... Can't pick what they will and won't write off unfortunately |

For Sale:
1) Kerscher Front Carbon Fiber Splitter - Purchased New from BMR. Decided against it as the carparks I'm entering for work are steep and narrow so would rather this not be destroyed. Test fitted it, then removed. SOLD! 2) Have a set of basically as-new 261's with 1500km SOLD! 3) OEM stock brake discs (front + rear) - 2000kms use. SOLD! 4) Looking at parting with my Volks. Send me an offer if you're interested. These are fully forged 19" wheels with no curb rash or any stone dings. They fit a stock setup as well as my recently modified setup without any rubbing. 95%+ rubber still. 19x8 ET 48 Fronts @ 225/35/19 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 19x9 ET 50 Rears @ 255/30/19 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...2&postcount=26 Last edited by PeteA; 01-07-2014 at 07:08 PM.. |

Mate did you take any photos with the lip test fitted? Only reason I ask is cos the design appears to have changed, @ least since I bought mine? I swear the earlier ones were a flat piece of CF?

Unfortunately not. It's not completely flat, no. It's got a bit of a curve to it along the outside edge. Most of the pics I've managed to find show it to be the same as this one.

Insurance company would be laughing, reserve was at 40k! I just read an email from the previous owner this morning (with photos), moments before the auction started. There is a lot more damage than was visible in those photos. The car appears to have been slid sideways into a gutter, onto it, then into a pole. Wheels, control arms, subframe, basically all suspension components gone. Given the information I had been provided, and using a cheap source of spare (original - new) parts, and doing most of the work myself, my spreadsheet calculated around 90k fixed and checked. 96k on road with all rego, insurance and stamp duty. That was using conservative (optomisitc) figures for all repairs too Not sure what I'm doing wrong with my calculations, but that seems hardly good value... =S Anyway... I was hoping it would go for around what you guessed, but the one good thing is, that I don't have the frustration of missing out by 500 or 1000, instead I missed out by 25000.... o_0 Still can't believe it... |
