Email Shrick...Something needs to happen.
But we can't really ask for cams when only a handful of people have bought headers, which are a HUGE power gainer on par with the manifold. |

I tried to contact them under the pretense that I was building bespoke track vehicle powered by a N52 and wanted a set of custom cams, no response.

Whoa! Color me wrong. I only hear about S54s running around with those cam sets...Guess that's probably just a reflection of that motor being the choice for most big power BMW owners.

Yup. One of the best engines they have ever made coupled with a large volume of production.

I would have no reason not to stay with Evolve. The offer remote dyno tuning, their cam results with other platforms have been excellent, and I've had an excellent experience thus far.

I once wanted an E46 M3. I love the S54 and the amount of modifications that can be done is even better. But the other day I drove an E46 325ci and I know it doesn't have what the M3 does, but my god is that car dated! I kept comparing it to my 1 in my head, forgetting it was the 3 before the E9x. Perhaps I'll change my mind if I ever get a ride in a well maintained E46 M3. But right now, I'm thinking the next car is going to be the E9x M3. I can't see myself going back in time farther just to get the E46 M3!
Back to the N52 discussion: I'd like to know what companies like Mitchum Motorsports do to their N52s. I heard they get ~300 out of em. Maybe one will pop up on eBay someday. |

The feeling of height is often caused by the larger amount of visibility in the older cars.

Also ~6% or so. I think it was even lower than the E46, which makes sense as it doesn't even share roof panels for a good number of the cars. E30 is also the same way.
M cars historically have been vastly different vehicles than their standard 3er counterparts. Prior to the E9x, you gave up comfort for performance.

Seems too low of a number. Headlights, taillights, doors windows, trim, interior trim, dash, switchgear, etc. Major components (brakes, engine, transmission, wheels, bumpers) are different though.

The list of shared pieces is more or less: Roof panel Door skins Dash board Dash frame Trunk floor Windows/windshield Tail lights Misc attachment nuts/bolts Non drive related electronics 6% is by part quantity, and the s54 shares no parts with the m54 whereas the f8x m3/4 shares a lot of parts with the n54. Engines are a lot of parts. |

I know BOC made 26xwhp with race gas and a lot of timing, but on E85 - it was worth 5whp? |
