Discolored rubber after getting car detailed
Looks like some of the rubber trim is drying out after getting the car detailed in the winter.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks |

Will that bring the color back as well or just protection? And thanks for the quick response.

303 would work fine, but I personally prefer Adam's Super VRT for rubber/trim. I religiously use 303 for interior work.

I checked a few local stores and couldn't find the 303. I ended up going with Mothers Back to Black. It worked wonders.

Back to Black isn't a bad product, it just doesn't last long. It does basically the same thing as the other products but tends to break down faster. Either way, it looks good.
If you're set on that product, i'd suggest trying it on your mouldings and sunroof trim as well. |

I will most likely order one of the other suggested products, but I wanted something in the mean time and this did the job.

Yup. Whenever you wax a car, take 10 minutes beforehand and apply painters tape over molding/trim plastic edges.

take your time taping up the car prior to any polishing.. this will save you a lot of time afterwards in cleaning the rubbers and re-moisturizing them.. I would use Swissvax Seal Feed or Einzsett Pledge Gummie
