I have a 2009 (IJEOS) 135i running Cobb Stage 2+ aggressive tune, though it has happened with the sport tune as well. My P3Cars gauge shows that I am getting code 2F49 on occasion. This happens about twice a week on start up. On one occasion the engine would not start. It was turning over just fine, but like I said it would not start. It was very similar to when my HPFP went out on me last year, but unlike that, once I turned the car completely off and tried to start it again it fired right up on the first rotation, and has started fine ever since, even at times that the code is thrown. Is this a tuner manipulation code, or what? Any help will be much appreciated!
Jeff

EWS is the security transmitter in the key fob. From my experiences in E36s, when you had a bad EWS box or key that was cut but didn't have the correct EWS key the ignition would start but no fuel would be injected. Maybe your key is low on battery or the chip inside is acting funny.
