This might be a stupid question but is it possible to install the R&T kit without lowering the car?
I understand that ride height is adjustable, won't the springs (for lack of a more technical term) be "too stretched" if I keep the car at stock height? |

I think in such a case Harold's swap is as close as you will get to an unbiased view.

If I remove the lower sleeve on the front strut will this kit work on a 135i with a M3 rear camber link conversion?
[EDIT] - Emailed Harold. That's a negative, but, he can do custom kits for people who do the conversion as Ohlins sell struts separately

No, it will not as the 1M/M3 front struts are specific to those two models and not the 135/335i strut with adaptor sleeve. AST, KW, TCKR, JRZ, MCS and some others simply add the sleeve, but not Ohlins.

Since you asked... in my opinion, KW doesnt even belong in the same conversation as Ohlins and JRZ. |

Based on Harold's thread, he seems to prefer the Ohlins over the JRZ and he's had both on his 1M. I'm not sure if his opinion has changed.

Yes, my vote is still on the Ohlins R&T over the JRZ RS1. Now that I have many miles on the Ohlins R&T I still love them and this is THE coilover that will stay on my 1M!

If I understand correctly, the Ohlins R+T kit is compatible with the stock upper mount, so it would use the same Vorshlag camber plate kit as the stock struts? I already have Vorshlag plates on my stock struts, so it wound be nice to keep them when eventually getting around to coilovers.
