Corner lights on headlights

I've seen some pictures of some 128i's and 135i's with clear corner lights instead of the yellow corner lights.

How does one do that? Do I have to buy a whole new headlights or is there a way to change it?

I've looked into this before. On normal headlights you can just bake the headlights for 15 minutes in an oven, open it up and take the ambers out, but with BMW's headlights, it's a lot more complicated.

It's probably easier just to buy a new headlight unless someone else has experience with opening one.

HUGE pain in the ass with these cars. Other option is buy EU spec headlights that have clear sides.

Cook in the oven?! Do you need to put a BBQ marinade on it as well? That just sounds so ridiculous lol.

You put the lights in the oven to melt the glue or use a hot knife to melt the seams that seals the headlight shut.
Once you open it, you can make necessary modifications you wish.
However, there are many cases where people do not seal the headlight properly when reassembling the lights and water gets in, hence ruining the lights.

European spec headlights have clear headlights, but they are pricy (and also illegal in America if I'm not mistaken.. But so are a lot of other modifications )

Another option is to contact company's that modify headlights such as OSS design or other companies.

Or cheaper alternative to get rid of the amber cornerlights is to code them out so they don't light up when then headlights are on, or get sticker overlays to cover them.

I think I might have some sets of those clear corners (here in Germany people want the amber corners ). But of course you have to open the headlight to assemble the clear corners... Makes it a pretty complex modification.
