Thanks Esteban!

*UPDATE*: Turbo has been on the car for a while now, hit some snags with the LPFP upgrade and my tuner has not been responsive which is really starting to frustrate me. In the meantime the car is 100% functional on the stock LPFP running just the JB4 and an e30 mix. It pulls SUPER hard to redline and the powerband is so much more linear, especially on partial throttle where I was seeing constant fluctuations previously with the old turbo/stock DV.

Any plans to Dyno? I'm getting a dyno done this saturday here in the LA area, so that may give a good baseline for FBO Stage 2+ vs FBO PS1, except I'm testing on 91 until we get some e85 stations in LA. It's amazing how few dyno's are in this forum, especially considering that a huge % of users mod their car. I've never been a member of a forum with such little dyno data.
My closest station is 6.2 miles from home. My final goal is 400whp, I already have the BMS CP with meth bung, so that may end up being what I do instead of e85. Do you plan on dyno'ing 93 and ethanol? Super interested in this thread, if PS1 gets you to 400whp, I'll be right behind you for this mod. I have no interest in ps2, don't think I have any need for 500whp.

Awesome man, really looking forward to the final pump gas numbers if you run the dyno on pump. I'm more interested in power delivery than the final number, it kills me that this car doesn't pull to anywhere near red line, basically a perfect engine aside from that.

Every dyno I've seen (mostly all with the e9x guys) shows no increase in power from about 5800rpm to redline, just stays flat. The tiny turbo is maxed out early.

I know you said you weren't able to document the install as much as you wanted, but can you give us any more info?
What actually comes in the "Install kit" from Pure Turbos? Did your friend have any comments as to how difficult of an install this was? Was Map 6 in the JB4 enough tuning to run the car? And have you subsequently been able to get your tuner to get on tuning the car properly? |

The car made 404whp and 440wtq on straight 93 octane. Would have made a good bit more with an e mix or on straight e85 but I wasn't interested in doing that. I'm beyond happy with the results and the car is still running absolutely perfectly months of hard driving later!

What power are you running on your setup? I'll likely go PS2 at some point but am also tossing around the idea of going top mount. I don't want to pass 550whp though, just want it reliable.

I plan on dynoing it once we finally getting it dialed in. We have the 93 octane done, We are still working out what i want for e85 right now.

Ah so you're just tuning based on logs right now? How consistent is the powerband and delivery?

Oh ya the power is very consistent! Without a doubt it drives like stock, just pulls like a train all the way to redline.

Considering the PS2 was more than double the price i'm happy with the results. This was around 20psi.
