Serious HPFP Question, please help me save money. Which is correct one?
For days, I have been googling, going through the forums, YouTube etc and cannot find an answer for this. Please help!
I have a 2012 135i n55 6spd manual. Manufactured/build date is 04-2011. So I ordered (pictured below) a BOSCH HPFP from ECS tuning because the guy on the phone said it's OEM and cheaper and will fit my car. The website also says it fits my car. Part# for below is: 13518604231 Link to it on ECS website: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-bosch-pa...518604231~bos/ Furthermore, the BMW parts catalogue @ https://www.realoem.com/ shows both... Part # for the first one(left) is: 13517616170 As you can see in the image, my car seems to have that first one(on the left), and the videos/tutorials I have seen for n55s all seem to be removing and adding that one. NOT the smaller BOSCH one. Can someone please help me confirm if it will fit? Or did I just waste a bunch of money and have to order the other one? EDIT: ECS tuning told me that my car has both... that it has HPFP... this cant be right, right? Last edited by ClemFandango; 08-30-2022 at 11:13 AM.. |

About a month ago, using www.bmwpartsdeal.com and the part number you posted (13517616170), I replaced my HPFP (2011 N55). The part that came out and the part I received is the part on the left.

Did yours give right away or did it keep putting you in limp mode? Mine is putting me in limp mode constantly. Could it go at anytime you think? |

The car was going into limp mode and I was having trouble with the OBDII port so I couldn't diagnose it. It wasn't my problem so a waste of time and money! It wound up being multiple coils and plugs. The previous owner lied about changing them so I foolishly hadn't pulled any plugs.

if u order get it through fcp at all cost nothing better than having poor testing skills and being able to replace all the parts for free through FCP😁
