Another report about the 4S tires. Yesterday in the DC area, we got dumped on with heavy rains all day. I drove my 1 through some of the pretty bad downpours. I can say the tires were awesome. No traction problems even through some pretty deep standing water and mini streams due to all the rain coming down at once. It was something blowing by SUVs in full control.
I continue to be very impressed with the updates to the new tire. |

Pirelli P Zero Nero GT
Just had them mounted so can't quite comment on them yet. Had Hankook Ventus V12 Evo and while great the rears only lasted 13k miles.

Michelin pilot super sports. Love em, pretty quiet and grip like a mofo, at this point idk what'll reach the limit first - my skill or the dirt on the road . The car is certainly capable

Went from MPSS to FF-Indy500. Both are similar in grip dry & wet. The feel is a bit different. FFI500 feel stiffer, the MPSS give a bit more feedback and feeling but the performance to me seems very similar.

I'm running Conti ExtremeContact Sports on my 128 and loving them. Great dry and wet grip and perfect for year-round use here in South FL.

I just put on Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. First impressions are that they are much more comfortable and quiet than the stock Dunlop run flats. The reason I went with all-seasons instead of Summer tires even though I live in Florida was to hopefully get more treadlife. How many miles are you guys getting with those Summer tires like the Michelin PS4S, Super Sport or Continental ExtremeContact Sport?

Dunlop Direzza DZ102
The DZ102 was a good tire for me. I just changed out the rears at 13,670 miles but they still had some life so lets say 15,000 miles on the rear. Strangely tho, Dunlop have a treadwear rating of 460.

MPS4S.
No question. If you like MPSS (I did) MPS4S are better in every way, especially wet.

Goodyear Eagle F1s all around. I'm happy (the car isn't tracked), but thinking about what's next.

Had the Tremec 6MT box and the best sounding OEM exhaust I've ever heard on a car. The tall gearing sucked though. It may have had more power than our cars stock, but it sure didn't feel like it... |

For winter tires, I'm running 17" Michelin Pilot Sport AS4s on Style 262 wheels, and for summer tires I'm running 18" Bridgestone Potenza S04 Pole Positions on Style 264 wheels.

Broke fella chiming in: I have and love the Federal 595's. They've been a great summer tire. I plan on something a little nicer once I hit the track but they have been marvelous on the street.
YMMV. |

stock 135is tire options
Hello,
Looking for tire advice... Current tires on my BMW 135is are Michelin Pilot Super Sports. 215/40/18 front 245/35/18 rear Should I: - go up in size on the front, from 215 to 225, and then I can get either Michelin Pilot SS tires or Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires? - look at running original sizes, but run Michelin PS4 front and Michelin PSS rear? - go with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500? - Any other recommendations? Is going up in sise by 10mm (215 to 225) in the front a bad idea on OEM wheels? Thanks very much. |

I have run 225/255 on my e88 since 2015 with no problems. Pretty common. Rest of the questions seem to be more of a tradeoff between performance and economics. Your decision.
