Car wants TURN after suspension update.
Hi All, just want a little sanity check after upgrading the front suspension. 2011 E82, just replaced stock msport suspension with Koni Special Actives, Eiback pro kit, Dinan Camber plates and M3 lower control arms. Alignment has not been done yet. The most noticeable thing is that after about 90 degrees of turning, the car really wants to keep keep turning to lock. Car tracks straight if wheel is centered. Is this the increased camber? Something off with the caster after all the new parts?
Thanks in advance. |

Probably toe, which changes with camber, which probably changed with all the work done (ride height change).
Not too surprising really. I usually DIY all my suspension work, and align afterwards, and it can be an entertaining trip to the shop if things are way off. |

Adding M3 lower control arms and not adjusting your tie rods gave you a lot of toe in, alignment will definitely fix this.
You'll want an alignment ASAP as that amount of toe will very quickly wear the inner tread on your tires, you should also notice an improvement in turn-in and steering responsiveness once you fix the excessive toe-in. |
