The primary input for this situation is going to come from the ABS computer.
Root cause is where your fix will lie.
Seems like this is a problem while turning, so looking into the Yaw Sensor data might be a good place to start. Compare the E8x to the E9x M data.
Or just outright unplugging the Yaw Sensor for a S&G test.

I'll bring this to the top. I believe we have a solution for the N52 MSV70 cars and MSV80 we need a beta tester...

Does anybody here have the ability to test this and provide feedback? Ideally a situation where you can be available to test several different calibration changes back to back if needed...

This is awesome news. I've started following Spec E90 and this has been brought up a couple times that I've seen. I'm not sure if they have a fix already in their spec tune but I would bet there are plenty of people that would be willing to help.

We have a client hitting the track this weekend to test these ported changes. We will update this at the beginning of next week.

Also looking for beta testers for both MSV70 and MSV80.x

Building my track car and came across this thread while researching disabling nannies. Has this ever been solved?

I thought I had solved this by coding sport brakes to my DSC last year but I was at the track on Friday and it happened again a couple times. The track was in great condition, rubbered in nicely and cool air so I was doing laps that were faster than my personal best from last year.

It's still way better than it ever was before but annoying to have the issue pop back up.

It really seems to be related to the front and rear pressure models coded to the module, maybe I'll try different values there and see what happens.

spidertri I read all your posts on this issue and as many other threads as I can find on this. Quite baffling in many regards, Some don't see issue, one post noted a disabling of the throttle via a tune fixed it. What is even more curious is how little in general there is on this topic. I would assume that there would be more. Perhaps it's only the 1 series and not the 3 series. IDK. I guess I have to re read all the posts and try to find some solution. I just can't imagine driving a car on track with this issue, just popping up at some corners and not others, on some day and not another . Perhaps it is not as bad as it sounds but man... . I guess, after reading the track posts here going back 10 years, I get the impression a lot of have moved away from this platform , so the lack of solution, or the lack of it being talked about actively could be a factor of the number of guys tracking this car is probably pretty small. Perhaps the Spec e90 guys will find a solution.

More than anything, I think a lot of the discussion has moved to the fb discussion groups. The track/race/drift/autox E82 group on there has a lot of good information being shared and a lot of guys pushing this chassis to the limit.

Your comment about the SpecE90 guys made me remember to check that fb group because Phloozy had asked those guys about the issue as well. There are a handful of the SpecE90 guys dealing with this and they seem to have collectively realized that the throttle cut only happens when you get into the ABS while braking.

In my mind, that closed the loop on my experience with coding sport brakes to my car. When I first installed the larger front brakes from the F30 I was getting the throttle cut way more often which was the reason I wanted to code sport brakes and see exactly what changed. I'm more convinced than ever that the sport brake option adjusts the DSC pressure models so that the ABS system comes on appropriately for the larger front brakes and shift in bias.

Realistically, the sport brake coding is just a band-aid. The potential for the issue still exists, there is just a higher threshold before it could happen. If you're putting 135i/335i/F30 front brakes on your 128, definitely do the coding.

I will be installing the F30 brakes and will do all the respective coding. Given that the issues is somewhat well identified now, in terms of when it triggers, it seems fairly easy to work around. Thanks for the great feedback!

havent been here in a while but if I never shared, it has been solved my Chaos Calibrations for me last year. It had to be tuned out, I dont think any coding will do the trick.

I just read through this whole thread and I think you nailed it - looks like Epic figured it out for the Spec e90 tune based on the description:

Electronic Throttle Control System (EML) adjusted so throttle blip now works while in threshold braking.
