Zaino vs Swissvax
I know there are a bit of information on maintenance forum, but just want to see if anyone here has compare the two products. I know it's going to be personal preference after all as Swissvax seems to give a wetter/deeper look, and the Zaino seems to give a more sterile look.
Particularly, want to see if there's much point using swissvax on a white car, but then again, I would probably going to buy just one product and if the Swissvax is better on the black, I might just going to use that on the white car.

You are pretty much always going to see a deeper gloss when you compare multiple applications of wax over multiple applications of sealant.
Swissvax makes a wax just for white now. Here you go: http://www.detailersdomain.com/index...ROD&ProdID=406 |

I think so!. My experience is that a can lasts long also, so the cost for each vaxing isnt so bad.
This is my car with concorso: (actualy not clean either since this is taken after a couple of heats on the track)

3 coats of Zaino topped off with some Griots' Best of Show (excuse my shitty street... they haven't put the top-coat on, yet):
I'm definitely pleased with the way this detail came out; however, can't say that I'm not interested in trying a 'premium' wax to see if there's a difference...

May be I should just get both and compare . The depth of the blue is much better, but it could also be the angle it's at? The Zaino seems to make the car very reflective and glossy, but doesn't give it depth like the Swissvax does...

I've always been very happy with Auto-Glym, but I'm open to better / easier options.
I'm about to get a LeMans Blue car - I've never had a blue car before, so looking to benefit from others experiences. What product have folks had most success with on similar colours? I use a RO sander, so no problems there. Where do you guys buy your products in Oz? TIA. |

I just spent some time at Waxit in brisbane, they have an online store at www.waxit.com.au
He was very helpful and sells a variety of products including Zaino and Swissvax. Basically he said Swissvax was top of the line, and the prices reflect that. |

I spoke to the guy at waxit. He was very helpful. He said the Zaino is good if you don't want to regularly detail your car, as it is a synthetic and lasts longer, compared to the wax. However, the wax will need to be applied after every 4-6 washes, apparently the wax gives a deeper and wetter look whereas the Zaino can look a bit plastic.
I guess it depends on how often you like cleaning your car. He also said with a white car that using a more expensive wax on the car would be wasted because you wouldn't get the same deep wet look as you would on a darker colour car. anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm in the same boat. I just got my 135 coupe AW and looking at the best product to keep it clean and mean. I said that I was happy to regularly wax my car so he recommended the p21 products. Anyone used p21?

hmmm.. I might head down to WaxIt tomorrow, but I am sure my wife would be following, so I have no idea how I am going to buy the stuff without her finding out how much they cost

Nice adrean. SGM & Terra. That was my 2nd choice. Very nice! If only your steering wheel was on the correct side . Have you got any pics that include the interior?
Cheers, Tim. Back OT. Sorry

Thanks I would have taken more Swisswax'd photos with the wheels on but they had to be sent back because of improper centercap fitment. Hopefully I will get them in a month or so...I have more pics in the modded 1er's thread and in the thread attached to my sig. |

Thanks for that. Your car looks a treat.
Is LeMans a difficult colour to keep looking good? Is it easy to see swirl marks and minor marks, or is it fairly "forgiving"? My first e46 was jet black, so i know what it's like to own a high maintenance car - but it did look fantastic when it was all detailed. My last car was Silver grey metallic - which was VERY forgiving. You could hardly see marks on it. The probem with this is it's made me lazy. Thanks again. |
