Smart move guys, fantastic improvement in power and response (and sound). Get the ceramic coated version.

i would recommend the ceramic coating as well.. just read that its $150 (US) extra.. as it already is bad enough with the heat coming through to the cabin, the coating will help keep temps down in summer!

Is there any actual evidence of coated vs non coated DPs with regards to performance or cabin heat?
I am probably just a fairly dull person but apart from a change in the exhaust note, I honestly do not notice any difference from stock with ceramic AR DPs (in terms of negatives like rasp, fumes and heat) |

We should definitely be able to score a deal with this amount of interest. I'm assuming everyone wants ceramic coating so that's the price we'll go for.

Rasp and fumes are American myths.

Not something I'm worried about anyway.
I believe the ceramic makes them black...but yes you can't see them so who cares what colour.

Jeff I'm also assuming that the pipes will be shipped out individually so as to not have one big bunch coming in and therefore attracting GST and all that?
When you hear back from the vendor/s can you let me know how big each box is (dimensions and weight). I'll then enquire with a freight agent to see if shipping ten at once to Australia AND paying GST ends up cheaper than shipping ten individual units with no GST. |

Re ceramic coating, apart from keeping under bonnet temps down I also believe there's a performance advantage in keeping the heat in the exhaust gas. Something to do with gas flow rates/velocities. Drag racers have been coating and/or wrapping exhausts for years. I'm sure Mr Blonde can elaborate.
Re one of Mattyv's questions, can these be coated locally? I've already got a set or ARs (not yet fitted) and if it was viable I'd look at getting them coated before fitting.
