Valvetronic issues - car in limp?

Hi I'm having similar issue, I've actually changed the motor and the shaft but upon putting it back together and starting ignition it goes to minimum fine then back to maximum but isn't learning the maximum stop point and it's like it's trying to keep going? Like it doesn't recognise the stop and makes a horrible sound
