Yes, I have driven the 135i. It's a totally different proposition to the RS4. My RS is 7 years old and has done almost 100k miles. It is a big, 4WD sledgehammer that is very good at going fast in a straight line. It is fun, but in a totally different way to the 135i, which isn't as powerful by far, but is much more nimble - much more of a "drivers car". The thing for me was that the 135i left a huge smile on my face - SOLD!

Thats very cool...I totlly understand where you are coming from as my father at one stage had an RS2 - i loved that car!! As you can see the love of cars runs in the family. Obviously RS2 is even older than RS4. Great Cars though. I agree with you though the 135i was a joy to drive when i did last year. I did not have it for long but seeing it in the flesh just sold it for me and i was trying to decide between the 335i and 135i. I was very close to deciding on the 3 series but the 1 series just beat it hands down when i saw it and drove it.
I personally much prefered the feel of the 135i compared to the 335i shap and drive wise I cannot wait!! |

Heard from the dealer yesterday - the car is due with them next Weds (23rd April). Need to give them a few days for PDI then I'm off to collect.... in Aberdeen! I'm thinking of flying up May 1st, so the countdown is on!
