The information I have is the same as what evolve have publicly release on this thread
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=778456 Evolve don't usually make bold HP gain claims, as they tend to focus more on R&D and maintaining drivability. Local customers with N54, Mini, E46M3, E92M3, E60M5, and X530D tunes will attest to this. I believe the reason the gain claims are seemingly high for NA, is because most of the x25i engines are detuned versions of x30i. Hence, there is a lot more potential for gains than would normally be the case for a NA engine. To Stu's point - I haven't seen local dyno results as yet, and am keen to see what gains we achieve locally. I can only go by the information I've received. Of course, EvolveR tunes also have a satisfaction guarantee and offer a full refund. I need a volunteer in Sydney with a 125i for before/after dyno. |

My digitec tune is fairly conservative so I am sure there could be another 5rwkw over my results. Another thing to be aware of is that pre 09/09 125i's have EURO4 cats whereas post 09/09 have ULEV2 (which mine is), the latter being more restrictive to achieve the lower emissions. |

I'm planning to get the Evolve tune soon as well. The high performance gains I believe are because the 125i is factory detuned. It's engine is exactly the same as the 130i, yet the 130i is I think around 30kW faster. So this tune isn't really squeezing the last bits of power out of the engine, it's actually bringing out the capped power of the car. Hence the very good power gains.

Theoretically it should be as easy as you say. The 125i engine is a detuned N52B30. But no OP has delivered.

Considering the next cheapest was mmw who no longer makes them, at $1200ish... It would probably sell well.. |

A small question from someone who is admittedly ignorant on the subject:
I understand that part of the reason why Australia and a few other nations got the 125i detune/modification on the N52 motor instead of the North American 128i was due to the higher sulfur fuels that we use. So the question is: what risk is involved in uprating the N52 performance with respect to corrosion effects with high sulfur fuels? Are 130i's at risk? |

The N53 engine was not brought to the US or OZ due to the high sulfur content you speak of. |
