I understand this is a solvable problem with some more time, effort and money and may look into that if I get a free weekend. I just figured the warning may save some frustration/disappointment to other n55 owners like myself who have a limited amount of time to devote to their cars. a large part of the appeal to me was the compatibly check through the website and ability to revert to stock quickly if the tune quality was poor or the car needed service.

I have a Cobb for 2011 N55. Would love additional tables to be unlocked such that PPK type exhaust pops and gurgles could be programmed in. Also, VANOS tables for more control over intake and exhaust. The platform is now to the point where we've hit a tuning wall when running large turbos. The first big single turbos for the N55 are around the corner.

Why support Cobb. I understand the desire for those with an extremely expensive piece of plastic, but MHD and tuners on N54tech have done a TON of hard work for this platform already. THEY deserve support for their efforts and continued commitment to the N54/55.

I don't know if it's possible cuz I think the engine and tranny use different computers, but if the unit could program the auto tranny too as an all in one unit I'd be for that. I love mine how it is so far- stage 2 FMIC.

Don't let the development die! I plan to have another N54 in the future.
