This tank is sick and a nice way to hide your tank! Great job! Wish I could convince myself to spend 725.

Got my tank. All is good! Kinda wish I got the powdercoat option instead of the anodizing because I can't stand looking at the 3 claw marks on each end where the bolts mount. Powdercoat seems to look just as good in the pics on the previous page too. The tank is quality, can't wait to hook it up and start spraying

Tbh, I couldn't tell the difference between the 2 finishes on the previous page. Pete said its not possible to anodize the entire tank which explains the scratches and unanodised parts on my tank. From a cosmetic point of view powder coating is better.

This thing is going to be hidden from sight so it doesn't really matter.

I test fitted the tank, fits in there very nicely.
My only concern is the mounting point at the bottom of the pic (closest to the rear) does not line up with the factory screw in points. The other mounting point (next to the red breather vent) lines up nicely with the screw-in point underneath. I have attached a photo without the tank installed to show where the mounting points are. Need to speak to Advan about this. The pump fits in nice and snug next to the battery too. Planning to use the existing BMS bracket to fix it into the enclosure. Anyone know how to go about disconnecting and removing the battery completely? |

Just spoke to 'young' Chris and all is good. The bottom mounting point reuses the stock nut that is removed to secure the tank. The top mounting point uses a new screw that holds the tank down. I'd say the fitment is pretty much perfect and there is about 10mm of room to adjust it. Unfortunately the holes that need to be drilled won't match up with the scratches so will need to invest in a Sharpie pen.
Now I need to work out how to get this battery out so I can secure my pump Before anyone asks, the pump isn't hooked up. I just put it in there to see if there is enough clearance. |

Also, anyone know if it's better to put the pump on its side, upside down or keep it upright? I think I remember reading somewhere the pump needs to be below the tank as it's gravity force-fed.

Thanks man it looks shmick now that it's in the car. Glad Advan came up with the design because it's exactly what I wanted. You should get one, your RB's will love it |

Vin,
How is the tank going? I'm tempted to pull the trigger. You are selling cooling-mist cable, what did you end up going with, and why? I'm happy to buy it if it's not going to cause issues running in an advan tank setup. Peter - can you advise via PM what it'd cost to get a powder coat & install done? I came in the other day for a service and we chatted about it. Is the pump install near the battery the normal approach? Where are other spots? Paul |
