I wish BMW had put a CF roof on this car standard. Specially with that taller roof line profile of 1 series it would have made a bigger difference in further lowering the 1M's center of gravity.
I wonder why they choose to skimp out on it instead of stepping up and doing the right thing to make the car more amazing

+2 VO seems to be the better color as far as having all the lines/contours/creases stand out. One needs to be bold though, but it is the color I'd opt for.

Fender Flares...
I think the fender flares are 'washed out' in these photos as some have suggested but not because the actual colour of the car, but because in every shot the background is almost white as well. There is no contrast for the fenders to pop like in the VO pictures and like there would be in real life.
Anyone else agree? Maybe we'll only know after we see it in the flesh... |

Agree. Generally white shows off car lines pretty well.
Look at that UK video of the AW 1M . . . you can certainly see the shape!! Suspect black will be the stealth car, VO in between, and AW will be the most "dramatic" from purely a shape/lines point of view.

Hmm, not sure about that. I'd say VO shows the lines and edges best. White washes out a lot, not only because of the background. Let's compare VO and AW (this time with a darker background):

Yes, AW hides curves and "flattens" the structures.
That's because AW is a non-mettalic paint and doesn't reflect the scenery as much VO or BSM. Last edited by skyphab; 02-26-2011 at 05:12 AM.. |

This one should be closest to real life IMO... Ofcourse a metallic color would have more reflections but that doesnt mean that AW would hide the wide stance of the car
