Original BMW Accessories.
BMW 1 Series Coupé exterior design.Spirited, dynamic, sporty. The design of the BMW 1 Series Coupé impresses all along the line – exactly like the matching accessories. Exclusive details that underline the athletic character, giving it speed even when standing still. More Aren’t flow lines already enough? With the exclusive BMW sports stripes, you give your BMW 1 Series Coupé a uniquely sporting appearance and reinforce the consistent styling of the body all along the line. Optionally available in black or white, the sports stripes create eye-catching contrasts on the bonnet, roof and tailgate. You can decide for yourself where and at what intervals the lines take their place. Setting exclusive accents on the road are the 18-inch light-alloy double-spoke 182 wheels in black. The dark appearance adds impressive depth and creates powerful contours. Depth and power also comes from the sound of the BMW 1 Series Coupé. Matching optical support can be found at the rear. With its chrome-plated exhaust pipe, your BMW puts on a dynamic display, from the front to the tail-end of the body. http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...hts/index.html http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...oom/index.html

Nothing majorly different, just a very slight "refresh".
This "new" look could have just as well been what the 1 looked like in 2008. Did they fix the damn rain gutter so that you can drive with your window slightly open and not get dribbled on when you clean your windshield? Also, if you drive with the window cracked and it's raining, forget it. Your left arm, leg and the electronic controls get drenched with how much water comes in. It's the WORST rain gutter design I've ever experienced in my 30yrs of driving. I don't care about stoopid looking eyebrows on the headlights. Fix the things we owners have been bitching about. I've got 1 year and 3 months left on my 2009 and if BMW don't come with a really new 135i, then it's back to Audi or BMW's 3 series, which looking great these days, the sedan that is. |

Eyebrows? Seriously?
Eyebrows are for Audis. I don't like the look of the new headlamp assembly at all. It was perfect on my 2011 135i vert...still is...wouldn't want "eyebrows" on it. If I wanted eyebrows I'd have bought an Audi TT or S4.

I saw a 2012 128i at the dealer over the weekend. I like the new vertical slots in the grill, the only problem is that Ford has done the same thing with their 2011 Edge SUV; and they've added white LEDs into those slots (I must admit it does look good at night). I guess this sort of thing is unavoidable these days, everyone borrowing each others designs. I saw a Hyundai minivan with the same LED eyelid swoosh as Audi -- how's that for brand dilution? At least the Edge is a reasonably well styled.

does anyone know if the NON xenon headlights on this new version of the 1 series (128i) have lit eyebrows in the headlight assembly?
I saw this model and was curious if anyone knows... http://www.cstatic-images.com/supers...0/CVL90935.jpg |

2012 135 convertible
Hey all, I'm thinking about trading in my 2008 135i coupe for a convertible. The convertible has all the bells and whistles. Things like Nav, premium package, heated steering wheel, power seats. Only drawback is it's an automatic. My 2008 is a manual with the sport package and not much else. It's more of a purists car. Here's the photo of this nice little convertible. I can get it for just under $46K. Looks like a good deal. I'm gonna take it for a test spin this weekend and see if I like the automatic and don't mind not having the sport seats. I like the rims on this one and the color is really nice. And the engine sounds even ballsier on the 2012 model than my 2008. Was considering a Z4, but I just love this car.
