HMS exhaust/ mid pipes question
Hi,
I'm about to order the HMS exhaust. I have already bought the akrapovic downpipes. My question now is which mid pipes should I get? I could stick to HMS, go for the N55 or get Mad dads. On the downside, the HMS are way more expensive than the mad dads or N55. More than a loud sound, I'm interested in a truly nice deep sound. I would like to hear what you guys think about the options listed above. thanks in advance… Alejandro Last edited by ALEJANDRO; 07-01-2014 at 04:08 PM.. |

I think Mad Dads will give you the deeper sound and this will be a crazy set up

Alejandro, be sure to post a clip of your exhaust set-up once it's installed. Should sound amazing!
I found it interesting to hear two HMS cars with different mids - Berk mids and HMS mids (and stock DPs), and they sounded quite different from each other. The Berk set-up had more tone to it; the HMS set-up more aggression/growl. I wouldn't have thought the mids alone could make such a difference. With catless DPs as well, it is going to be LOUD! Lucky you'll have the 'valve'. Whatever you decide, it will be awesome. |

I prefer the sound of my OEM N55 mids to the BERK mids I had. If you are running cattless DPs I would recommend resonated mids. I looked at the HMS tuning as an option for exhaust but seems a little steep. Based on sound bites it might be the best sounding exhaust. Post up whatever you decide on. GL

are the MadDads resonated?
Can someone explain to me what the difference is between resonated and non resonated? Sorry but this would be the first exhaust mod I do in my life. |
