Carbon Fiber Roof
i wonder if there is aftermarket part for CF roof, just like the new M3/M6, if so i won't option a sunroof.
i have seen E46 M3 and M-coupe have this, check link http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109171 they look sexy!! which the 1 had it. |

How would you plan on doing this mod? You'd have to cut the roof off your car, then how would you fuse the CF roof? Am I missing something? If I could option an M3 like CF roof on a 1er I'd pay extra for that.
Unless you are talking about a sheet of CF to stick on to the roof. Thats doable, but pointless bc now you are adding weight. The last place you want to add weight is the very top of the car. |

Ill seriously consider this mod. I just have to be able to get a headliner w/o a sunroof hole and obviously an e87 CF roof. The upside is I can get those in anthracite, problem is at what cost?

imo i totally agree...doing a overlay is just a waste...its only for show AND you are adding weight..
but if its like dry carbon (e.g. CSL roof for e46 m3 or e92 m3) then hell yeah I am willing to buy one...if some company does make one...its going to be quite expensive but it is functional + sexy!:biggrin: |
