Front license plate holes

Well I've recently moved to a state where the front license plate isn't required, and I was wondering what to do about the front mount that I have which is no longer necessary.

It's a big black plastic mount that the plate used to go on, but right now I've just left it on plain. I tried taking it off, but the screw holes that go into the bumper are so bad looking =(

Should I take it to a body shop and have them filled in or should I just stick a euro plate up there? If so... what plate?

I don't think a euro plate will cover the shape of an american bracket. I would fill the holes.

Well it's only 2 holes a few inches apart. It's not 4 since the bottom kind of hangs off.

Looks like this:

First thing I did was purchase those plugs from bumperplugs.com. Paint matched perfectly.

Hm that looks ok. I read on a few forums about the bumper plugs and most of them said they didn't like them... not sure how it would look on my jet black.

Some just got luckier then others, I wish they didn't put those damn holes in there.

I'd rather put the plugs in then repaint. I'll try to retain the factory paint as long as I possibly can.

Yea I think I'll stick with the factory paint... probably gonna go Euro plate.

Any suggestions for what to put on it? I kinda get the feeling that any sort of text would be kinda tacky. Can't seem to find any that are just logo's or emblems...

I don't like the Euro plate, like you say it's tacky.

I have experience with the bumper plugs. They're a pretty good compromise between having the plate there and getting them filled and resprayed. Not perfect, but pretty good.

I ask my CA not to install the front plate, but the holes were drilled in prior. Mine's Jet Black, so the small holes are fairly unnoticeable. Plus I'm lazy.

They're very easy. The only "work" that may be involved is if the holes aren't big enough for the plugs. You'll just have to drill them out a bit to enlarge them. Then you literally just push them in and that's it. They're basically just normal body plugs but painted in OEM paint (they come out very nice)

thanks for the response!

got these today and the quality is great. will definitely have to drill the hole bigger though... kinda nervous about it because if I ever have to put the front plate back on the bracket wont fit with bigger holes.

I was going to suggest the 1Addicts decal, but if you would prefer plugs, then ok.
